SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Spring practices ae underway for the Fighting Irish as they continue their pursuit of a 12th National Championship. This season the Irish Defense will see a major change with the addition of Chris Ash as the team's new defensive coordinator.
Ash replaces Al Golden, who left Notre Dame to become the defensive coordinator for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. Ash takes over a defense that was ranked among the best last year. He's looking to build on that with standout players like Byrce Young and Adon Shuler returning.
Notre Dame will continue spring practices in preparation for the upcoming season and blue and gold game April 12, ABC57 Kickoff crew will be live on campus giving you all the inisght as the Irish head towards another football season.
