Notre Dame counts to hours to kick-off for Dublin game

DUBLIN, Ireland -- The wait is almost over.

We are just one day away from the Notre Dame football opener in Ireland.

The Irish walked through Aviva Stadium before practice on Friday, while crews were busy painting the field.

48,000 fans are expected to pack the stadium on Saturday, to watch Notre Dame take on Navy.

Coach Brian Kelly told UND.com his team is up for the challenge.

"Well, the venue - you can see its classic and certainly, the fans are going to be right on you.  It's going to be a very nice atmosphere. Our guys are excited about playing and we're anxious to get it going," said Kelly.

Saturday's game kicks off bright and early at 9 a.m.
