Notre Dame fans came from all over the country for Saturday's game

SOUTH BEND --- Notre Dame fans came from all over the country Saturday for the big matchup.

This is the 77th meeting between Michigan State and the Irish.

The Spartans went into the game undefeated and the Irish had two wins and one loss this season.

One fan we talked to drove over eight hours from Tennesee just to see the Irish.

"We actually won some tickets to the lottery. A friend of mine is an alumni, so we came to the Michigan State game to enjoy the atmosphere and really have a good time," said Jeff Howard.

He says that he has been an Irish fan for 25 years and it was his first time at a game in South Bend.
