Notre Dame grad on way to International Space Station

A Notre Dame grad and two others were aboard the Soyuz TMA-06M spacecraft when it launched Tuesday morning from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan.

Notre Dame grad Kevin Ford, along with Oleg Novitskiy and Evgeny Tarelkin, will orbit the Earth for two days before docking to the Poisk module of the International Space Station on Thursday.

Ford graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
