Notre Dame heads to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After suffering an upset loss at home at the hands of the Northern Illinois Huskies a month ago, the Notre Dame football team has reeled off four straight wins while outscoring opponents 174-41.

In those last four games, the Fighting Irish have travelled just over two hours total, making the trip to face Purdue in West Lafeyette before returning home to play the next three games under the watchful eye of Touchdown Jesus.

On Saturday, they will be in Georgia, at the NFL's Atlanta Falcons' home field, Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 3:30 p.m.

The Irish offense is riding high after finally tapping into the passing game in their 49-7 win over the Stanford Cardinal on Oct. 12, but that game cost the defense one its star players and captains as it was announced on Monday that junior cornerback and projected first round NFL Draft pick Benjamin Morrison will be out for the rest of the season due to a hip injury that will require surgery.

As always, it will be next man up for Notre Dame who are at the halfway point in their 2024 season. Notable remaining opponents include Florida State, currently No. 23 AP-ranked Army, No. 25 ranked Navy, and rival USC to close the season.
