Notre Dame left wing named Hockey East player of the month

Notre Dame Hockey junior left wing Mario Lucia has been selected the Hockey East/Warrior player of the month for October.
In seven games this month, Lucia scored seven goals and added two assists for a total of nine points.
During those seven games, Lucia had a game-winning goal and his first career hat trick October 18, in a 5-1 win over Lake Superior State.
The 6-3 forward finishes the month as Hockey East's top point producer and the conference's top goal scorer.
Lucia helped Notre Dame to a 5-2-0 record in October, including five straight wins to end the month.
