Notre Dame thanks their fans

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- "Thank you" isn't something you hear everyday, but the University of Notre Dame wants to make sure the entire Irish family gets the message this holiday season.

The University put out a large sign saying "Thank You" for being a part of the Notre Dame family.
Then they videotaped folks signing it and sent the video out as a mass email to 80,000 Irish fans.

"The sign filled up very quickly so we allotted a morning to capture signatures from students on the quad and what was fun is that it went from blank to within an hour," said Katherine Lane, Director of Stewardship Programs.

That video has been viewed nearly 8,000 times online and the university said it's even surprised that people have been thanking them for posting the message.
