Few showers this morning, then quiet again today
For the first half of the season, Notre Dame football was mostly dominant. The question for the Fighting Irish was whether they could sustain that during a loaded second half of their 2017 schedule.
After a 49-14 victory over rival and 11th-ranked USC, the answer was a resounding "yes."
Notre Dame ran for 377 yards, including another big day from running back Josh Adams.
He and quarterback Brandon Wimbush both eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark. Wimbush totaled two rushing TDs and two passing.
The Notre Dame defense shut out the Trojans in the first half, and forced three turnovers which the Irish turned into 21 points.
Notre Dame now turns its attention to North Carolina State, who comes to South Bend next weekend.
