Notre Dame vs Louisville: October 17, 2020

NOTRE DAME – The fourth game of the 2020 season for Notre Dame’s football team will be against the Louisville Cardinals.

The Irish are currently sitting on a winning streak of 3-0 and are ranked 4th in the Atlantic Conference.

Scoring Updates:

The first quarter of the game takes a little bit to heat up, but Notre Dame’s Jonathan Doerer kicks a 32-yard field goal five minutes in. Irish with the first points, 3-0.

And again, just before the end of the first, Doerer kicks another 30-yard goal pulling the Irish up to 6-0.

A tough battle was fought on both sides during the second quarter with no points gained.

The third quarter proves to be much more fruitful for both the Irish and the Cardinals, however.

Louisville's Marshon Ford scores a touchdown after a 1-yard pass from Malik Cunningham. The PAT from James Turner is good, overturning the game to the Cardinals' lead of 7-6.

With just under four minutes left, Ian Book runs for 13 yards to bring the rock home. The two-point pass conversion fails. Irish take back the lead 12-7.

The fourth quarter would see the Irish deny the Cardinals any more points, securing their fourth victory game of the season. Notre Dame wins with a final score of 12-7.
