SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Irish went toe-to-toe with the Wolverines in round two of the NCAA tournament.
Notre Dame leading 5-3 with just over four minutes left in the second quarters, Michigan made their comeback tying the match 7-7 at halftime.
It only got more dramatic in the second half. Coming down to the wire 14-14 before Michigan's Jill Smith shot a buzzer beater to lead the Wolverines 15-15, into the quarterfinals.
