Notre Dame's Joe Alt drafted fifth overall to the LA Chargers

ABC 57 DETROIT, Mich. -- Notre Dame's former 6'9" offensive lineman Joe Alt has been picked fifth overall by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Alt started all 12 games at left tackle in the 2023 season, finishing as a First Team Associated Press All-American, finalist for the Outland Trophy, and a finalist for the Lombardi Award.
Alt only allowed one sack for 351 snaps in the 2023 season as well.
Alt's father, John Alt, was also a first round picked in the 1984 NFL Draft and played for 13 years for the Kansas City Chiefs.
