NTSB results in on deadly Charlevoix plane crash

CHARLEVOIX, Ind. -- Results are in of a federal investigation of a deadly plane crash last summer in Northern Michigan.
Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board say the pilot Dr. Stephen Hatch of Fort Wayne failed to follow proper protocol.
This after his first attempt to land his plane fell short. It crashed into a garage near Charlevoix Municipal Airport.
Hatch and his wife Kim died. Their 16-year-old son survived.
