Flint, MI (WNEM) -- New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is helping to bring more bottled water to Flint.

Rodgers-Cromartie has teamed up with Defiance Fuel to send 17,000 bottles of ultra-purified water to the city to help with the water crisis.

The bottles are scheduled to arrive Thursday, April 14 and will be distributed to local schools and residents.

We wanted to let the people of Flint know that we aren't forgetting about them. Clean water is a basic necessity, and everyone should have access to it. I'm glad Defiance Fuel has joined me in not only sending safe water, but pure and refreshing water for them to enjoy," said Rodgers-Cromartie.

Defiance Fuel claims its product has been shown to increase cellular hydration, increase cell charge, and increase overall cellular health.
