Obama administration takes gun debate on road

The White House kicked off its campaign to gather support for stricter gun control law in pro-gun Virginia today.

The Vice President focused the talks on back ground checks for gun buyers. The proposal most likely to gain the bi-partisan support it needs to take effect. Some are pushing for the right to carry guns--even at church.

"Some pretty bad things can happen at church, and we know that. They're soft targets," said Senator Brian King.

Despite heated resistance, the White House continues to push its agenda. Next week, a senate committee will hear testimonies from the NRA and Gabby Gifford's husband.
