Officer taken to hospital following morning fender-bender
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Corporal and Common Council President Derek Dieter was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a minor fender-bender!
Dispatchers told us he was rear-ended at the corner of Portage and Auten around 9 a.m.
He's okay, but police wanted doctors to check him out.
The other driver wasn't hurt.
Police said slick roads may be to blame.
