Officials investigate house fire on S.R. 23

SOUTH BEND — Investigators are looking into what caused a South Bend house fire Friday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the home on Terrace Lane just off State Road 23 around 1:30 p.m. When they got there, they found smoke coming from the home.
The roof and attic of the home were damaged.
Firefighters say the home has been empty for years.
