Marshall County deputies responded to a deadly accident Sunday morning in Tippecanoe Township close to Bourbon, Indiana.

Deputies say the crash happened around 10:00 a.m.

Michael Nuss, 30, was driving south on Beech Road approaching the 14B Road intersection.

Nuss failed to stop at the stop sign for the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling west, according to deputies.

Nuss’ vehicle was struck in the driver’s side.

Nuss was pronounced dead on the scene and his passenger, 30-year-old Misty Rooney, was flown to Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital by family members for pain.
