Ohio athlete helps opponent across finish line

OHIO -- Teamwork isn't just for the same team as one Ohio high school athlete discovered.

At the track and field state championships in Ohio, Megan Vogel made quite an impression.

Vogel won her first race of the day but in her second and longer race, she began to struggle. But she wasn't the only one.

Opponent and fellow athlete Arden McMath was falling back and instead of passing her, Vogel picked up her opponent and pulled McMath's arm around her shoulders. They crossed the finish line together.

"I was just thinking I wanted to get her to the finish line. I was more worried about getting Arden across the line that what place I was in," Vogel said.

Vogel's earlier win pales in comparison to her act of good will. It was the last place finish that ending up leaving the biggest mark.
