Oktoberfest to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- From cornhole, to a chili cook-off, Oktoberfest is meant to bring people to downtown Elkhart for a good time, all while raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Some have said the catch phrase of the event is 'Bringing Elkhart Back', but organizers say Elkhart never really left, and that's what Oktoberfest is all about: Showcasing downtown's greatness.

"The potential is only realized when people can come downtown, take part in the activities that are featured, but also support the local business,” said Stephanie Patka, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters. “The local business owners who are making their ways there to feature Elkhart’s finest."

Saturday’s Oktoberfest will go from 1 to 9 p.m.
