One dead after accident on U.S. 33

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — Officers believe that racing may be to blame for a deadly car accident on U.S. 33 just south of Goshen Wednesday evening.
Officers say that the driver, 25-year-old Mario Alberto Reyes, died after the car he was driving rolled off the highway and crashed.
His passenger 23-year-old Vincente Martinez was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled. He was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
A nurse supervisor at the hospital said that Martinez was in critical condition.
