ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Deputies responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Saturday at 2:52 p.m. on Manhattan Avenue south of Michiana Drive, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.
Responding officials declared 39-year-old Elkhart resident Terry Frost Jr. dead on the scene.
Officials determined that Frost Jr. was driving a 2003 Honda at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash and lost control of the vehicle.
Deputies say he was separated from his vehicle, which continued to slide off the roadway.
Frost Jr. was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to deputies.
The crash remains under investigation.
