BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- One woman died and another woman was seriously injured in a shooting that happened early Sunday morning, according to Benton Township Police. A man also suffered a gunshot wound to the toe.
At 1:11 a.m., police responded to Ogden and Willow Creek Drive for reports of a shooting.
When police arrived they found two women with gunshot wounds.
They were transported to the hospital.
At the hospital, the 28-year-old woman died of her injuries. The other woman, a 33-year-old was airlifted to a regional hospital.
During the investigation, police learned a 27-year-old man went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his toe.
Investigators learned there had been a large party near the location of the shootings.
