One hospitalized after shots fired on N. Brookfield in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Officers with the South Bend Police Department were dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Brookfield around 6 p.m. Tuesday evening for reports of a possible shooting.
"One male was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries from apparent gunfire," authorities said. "The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating."
