One injured in dirt bike crash on 500 block of Snyder Street in Cass County
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A three-year-old is injured after a dirt bike crash in the 500 block of Snyder Street in Cass County, Mich. on Sunday at 3:30 pm.
Deputies were called to Three Rivers Hospital for a three-year-old that was injured in a dirt bike crash on private property.
The driver of the dirt bike, a 49-year-old man from Marcellus, said that while riding, the dirt bikes throttle broke and caused him to lose control of the bike, according to deputies. The bike was unable to slow or stop and hit a tree, according to deputies.
The driver grabbed the three-year-old and tried to absorb the shock of the crash.
The child was taken to Three Rivers Hospital, but was then was airlifted to a Kalamazoo hospital for treatment.
Alcohol is not a factor in the crash. Helmets were also worn. This crash remains under investigation.
