One injured in two vehicle crash in Cass County
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – One man was injured after a motorcycle accident Saturday night.
Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that a motorcycle driven by Casey Madden, 31, was going east bound on US 12 near Calvin Center when the crash occurred.
The other vehicle involved in the crash was turning right into a private driveway when Madden allegedly struck the passenger side.
Madden was thrown from his motorcycle over the other vehicle where he landed in a nearby yard.
He was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries.
Officials say that alcohol or drugs could have been a factor and that Madden apparently was travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
Madden was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
