One person airlifted in New Years Day car accident

One person was sent to the hospital early Thursday morning after a serious car accident in Elkhart County.It happened in the 21000 block of State Road 119.
Elkhart County Sheriff's deputies say one passenger was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, who was under 21, had been drinking, but deputies say he was not drunk.
The cause remains under investigation.
