One person injured in shooting on Falcon Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday on Falcon Street.

Police responded to the 400 block of S. Falcon Street on a ShotSpotter alert.

When they arrived, they learned the victim was self-transporting to the hospital.

The victim stopped in the area of Dundee and Western and called for help. The victim was then taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting response team was called to the scene and has taken over the investigation.
