One person is injured after hitting a tree in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Sheriff Richard Behnke reported that his office was dispatched to investigate a personal injury crash on Church Street near Goff Lake Road at 11:16 pm on Saturday.

Nickolas Soule, 25 year old Marcellus resident, was driving his vehicle east bound on Church Street when he lost control of the vehicle, driving off the roadway and crashing into a tree.

Soule was the only in the vehicle at the time of the accident and was transported to Borgess Lee Hospital in Dowagiac for his injuries sustained in the crash.

It is believed that alcohol is a factor in this crash and that he was wearing a seat belt.

This crash remains under investigation.
