One person shot outside convenience store

SOUTH BEND, Ind -- One man is in the hospital after a shooting outside a local convenience store.

South Bend Police said it all started with a fight outside of Rick's Mart on West Western.

It happened around 7 p.m.

A gun was pulled and one person was shot.

That man ran next door and police were called.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital and is in serious but stable condition.

No weapons were recovered and police do not believe it is a gang related shooting.

Officers said they have several leads but no suspects as of yet.
