One woman taken to hospital after crash in St. Joseph County

GRANGER, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department and Clay Fire responded to a crash that happened on Friday just before 11:30 a.m.
A VW Bug t-boned a Mazda at Brick and Fir. The cars then slid into a telephone pole.
There is no word on whether or not this caused any power outages in the area.
Driver of Mazda was taken to hospital. Emergency crews said that when they tried asking her some questions, she wasn't making a lot of sense. There is no word yet on her condition.
Drugs and alcohol are not thought to be a contributing factor in the crash.
Police ask that drivers stay away from this intersection for the next hour. Crews are working to clean it up.
