Jordan Automotive showcased new hybrid police which are stylish as well as environmentally conscious.
The vehicles are new 2020 Ford Police Interceptors and Responders.
They include the hybrid Ford Fusion responder, which will help departments save around $3,500 a year on gas.
The 2020 hybrid reduces fuel consumption which means it will essentially be better for the environment.
This was the first police car open house that Michiana has ever had.
“As far as we know, no one in the area has had a police car open house. And with Ford having the new 2020 all-new utility coming out we decided it would be a good opportunity,” said Deb Starkweather, a commercial fleet sales manager.
One local station is hoping to buy at least 15 of the new vehicles, but officials have not confirmed specific details at this time.
