Osceola man arrested in Elkhart for public nudity

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department has arrested 26-year-old Joseph Barber of Osceola after receiving reports of a completely nude man in the 600 block of Jefferson Street around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
When officers arrived, they found a fully nude male crouched near the riverbank.
The man was identified as Barber, arrested, and taken to the hospital for medical clearance.
After being cleared, he was booked into the Elkhart County Jail on a preliminary charge of public nudity, a Class C misdemeanor.
