BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Red Bud Area Ministries' fourth annual Fill up the Trailer food drive happened on Tuesday at the Buchanan Police Department.

Eloise Herrick, one of two 11-year-old hosts, combined with Jan Nowak-Walters, the food pantry's executive director, and gathered more than 500 items ranging from food to hygiene products.

Nowak-Walters is grateful to all of the volunteers who came out to help Herrick and her partner, Kate Holloway, who she says are blessings to the pantry's work fighting food insecurity in Berrien county.

The ABC57 morning team sat down with Herrick on Tuesday to discuss her role in the food drive and how long she's been working despite her young age.
