Pac-12 Conference nixes non-conference games

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame Football will play two less opponents this season as the Pac-12 announced that they will be limiting their sports' schedules to conference games only.

The announcement comes after the Big Ten also decided to restrict their sports’ schedules to only conference games.

This will be the first time since World War II where USC and Notre Dame will not face each other during the season.

In a statement, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said, "The health and safety of our student-athletes and all those connected to Pac-12 sports continues to be our number one priority.”

The location of Notre Dame’s matchup against Navy was also moved from Dublin, Ireland, to Annapolis, Maryland, due to concerns over the coronavirus.
