Paddle down the St. Joseph River this Mother's Day

ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – If you’re looking for a memorable experience this Mother’s Day, the St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation Department has announced a canoeing event for the most adventurous of moms.
Families can create lasting memories paddling along the St. Joseph River.
The event will be held on May 12 at Brown Barn located at 50651 Laurel Road in South Bend. Trip times are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Organizers say $25 canoes and basic instructions will be provided. Registration and payment are required by May 9.
Each canoe can accommodate up to three people. The event is not recommended for children aged three and younger.
After a fun-filled day of canoeing, attendees can enjoy milk and cookies.
