Palisades Nuclear Plant remaining closed

VAN BUREN CTY, Mich.-The wait continues this morning as the Palisades Nuclear Plant, remains closed.
Plant operators released a statement saying they were making repairs, but they do not know when operations will be back to normal. A tripped circuit breaker prompted the shutdown Sunday. This is the second closure in two weeks.
On September 16th, a faulty valve shut down the reactor. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission also inspected the plant in August after a water pump failed.
