SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- A parade was held for a former John Adams football player who was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Danny Pinter was selected in the fifth round of Sunday's NFL Draft.
Pinter is only the fourth player drafted from John Adams High School. "This community means a lot to me so to have a chance to represent them is something I definitely take a lot of pride in," said Pinter.
The parade was organized by Pinter's high school coach, Craig Redman. "It’s exciting, it’s exciting. He’s a kid that we talked about having untapped potential," said Redman.
Pinter will now be playing just less than three hours away from home in Indianapolis.
"Once I saw it I jumped online to the Indianapolis Colts to see how much season tickets would run," said Redman. "So it’s exciting. It really is."
