Parking Wars: Parking restrictions in St. Joe ahead of fireworks

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- If you're going to the beach for Fourth of July, get there early or be prepared to walk.

The city of St. Joseph has restricted parking for several city blocks above and below the bluff are closed for parking on Wednesday.

"For big events in an hour or an hour and a half with the way they've got the place working, it's cleared," Bob Piersing, a resident on a restricted street, said.

The city restricts parking to keep traffic moving after the fireworks show.
