GARRETT COUNTY, Md. -- While parts of the Atlantic Coast deal with flood waters from Superstorm Sandy, further west folks are dealing with snow.
In Garrett County, Maryland, some residents reported up to 30 inches of snow since Monday.
Snow plow drivers said they had been working around the clock moving snow.
And residents say they are shocked at the amount of snow that had fallen.
More than 17,000 people have no power there. That is more than half the county's population.
There is no estimate as to when the power will come back on. But more snow was expected Wednesday.
