Passenger dies, driver is severely injured after Florence Township crash
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—One person died and another was seriously injured in a crash in Florence Township, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
On January 18, around 2:30 p.m., deputies were sent to Banker Street Road and Klinger Lake Road regarding a single vehicle crash.
During their investigation, deputies learned that a tan Ford Explorer driven by a Three Rivers man was traveling on Banker Street Road when it left the road and struck several trees before overturning.
The driver and a female passenger were trapped inside of the Explorer and were extricated by the Tri-Townships Fire Department.
Police said the driver was transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.
