Passenger killed in Cass Co. vehicle accident

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- One person was killed and another hospitalized after a single vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Bertrand Street in Milton Township.



According to the Cass County Sheriff's Department, the vehicle was heading eastbound on Bertrand Street when the driver lost control and hit a tree around 2 a.m.



The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.



The driver was taken to the hospital.



Both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
