Pat Summitt steps down at Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- It's both the beginning of a new legacy and the end of an era at the University of Tennessee.

Head women's basketball coach Pat Summitt is leaving her post after 38 years. Less than a year ago she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s.

In a recently released statement Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw said quote, “Pat has set the bar so high for all of us not only with the success her teams have enjoyed on the court, but the way she has carried herself off of the court with such class, dignity and grace."
