SOUTH BEND, Ind.- A paving project for Miami Street from Ireland Road to Calvert Street will begin on March 13 and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2023.
The City of South Bend's Department of Public Works shared that the work will be completed in two phases.
Phase One is the reconstruction of ADA-compliant curb ramps at intersections, primarily between Ireland and Donmoyer Avenue.
Following the completion of Phase One, weather-permitting, Phase Two will commence with the paving project.
Once complete, Miami Street will be two travel lanes with a center turn lane from Ireland to Donmoyer; and from Donmoyer to Calvert, there will be two travel lanes with parking on both sides of the two-way street.
