Pedestrian critically injured in Benton Harbor crash

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—A pedestrian was critically injured in a crash on October 4, according to police.

On Friday morning around 5:42 a.m., officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Main Street, near Fair Ave.

Officers found a 38-year-old Benton Harbor man lying in the road at the scene. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

A damaged vehicle at the scene was driving eastbound on Main by a 61-year-old Benton Harbor woman at the time of the incident, police learned. The driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
