Pedestrian hit by pickup truck on U.S. 12, Robbins Lake Road

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a pickup truck as he was walking on U.S. 12 Monday morning, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

At 6:35 a.m., a 34-year-old pedestrian was allegedly walking in the roadway on U.S. 12 when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 66-year-old man.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Deputies believe the pedestrian had drugs in his system at the time of the crash, reports said.
