ORIGINAL STORY:
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A pedestrian hit by a vehicle on Jefferson Boulevard Sunday afternoon has died from her injuries. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office identified the woman as 39-year-old Nicole Arnold of Mishawaka.
Investigators say 26-year-old Rashaad Williams was in an argument with his wife, which led to her driving off and him following her.
At one point, the two were driving westbound on Jefferson when he allegedly bumped into his wife's vehicle three times. The last time caused her to lose control and hit Arnold as she was walking on the sidewalk, reports said.
Williams then drove away from the scene, hitting another vehicle that had the green light at the intersection of McKinley Highway and Twyckenham Drive and two vehicles parked in the area, reports said.
He ran from the scene of that crash, according to reports.
Arnold died from her injuries Sunday evening.
Williams has been formally charged with five counts of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of reckless homicide.
