Pedestrian injured by a vehicle

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- St. Joseph County dispatch reported they received a call at 9:31 p.m. on Wednesday for a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Ireland Road and Ironwood Road.
Dispatch says the incident started as a hit-and-run, but the driver returned to the scene of the collision.
The pedestrian was injured, but the extent of their injuries is unknown, dispatch says.
Dispatch says the scene is clear.
