Pedestrian hit and killed on State Road 23 identified

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) has released the identity of the pedestrian that was hit and killed on State Road 23 on December 22.
The victim has been identified as Juante M. Barry, 33.
Barry was hit and killed when he was struck by a vehicle on State Road 23 near 27th Street just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, investigators said.
The driver of the vehicle has cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
Barry’s autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
