Pedestrian killed in hit and run accident

The La Porte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.
The sheriff's office received a call about the crash around 2:30 p.m. CST.
The accident happened on US421 just north of US30 in Wanatah.
US421 will be closed between US 6 and US30 while deputies investigate.
