Officials release name of pedestrian struck and killed by train

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- A 22-year-old male was struck by a train in Berrien County late Saturday night.

Berrien County Deputies were called to Main Street in Galien Village at the railroad tracks regarding a pedestrian who was hit by a train.

The victim, Christopher Herman of Galien, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office.
